Intern Architects initially work on projects that provide an opportunity to hone basic technical skills and introduce them to the methodology of producing construction documents. Our emphasis is to provide our staff with a wide exposure to architectural practice on each project. Many of these projects will be under construction within weeks of completing the drawings, giving an opportunity to review actual construction.
As these basic skills develop, the projects an intern works on increase in size and complexity. In addition, once an intern develops the ability to assemble a full set of construction drawings, they proceed to a training phase that includes completing structural calculations for the project. Ultimately, interns move from positions of Technical Staff to
become Project Managers, overseeing the complete production and review of construction documents.
